Saturday in the Park is a series of demonstrations and presentations at Moundville Archaeological Park related to Native Americans, archaeology, natural history, sustainable gardening, and more!
On Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 10 am until 2 pm, Bill Skinner will be demonstrating the use of several types of tool and weapon technologies. These demonstrations will include the atlatl and the bow and arrow as well as ancient toolmaking traditions, such as flint knapping. Participants can take turns practicing with ancient tools. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian to participate. All are welcome to observe.

This program will take place outside the Jones Archaeological Museum.
Moundville is located 13 miles south of Tuscaloosa, off Alabama Highway 69 and the physical address is 634 Mound State Parkway, Moundville, AL 35474-6413.
