Saturday in the Park

Prepare for getting back into the classroom with the Moundville Education Department! On August 3 from 10 am until 2 pm, visitors are invited to join us down by the Black Warrior River to learn how archaeologists use math, science, social studies, and an array of other academic disciplines to learn about the history of Alabama. We will have mock excavations, flint knapping, and an atlatl throwing range. Complete each station to earn your Alabama Junior Archaeological sticker. All Ages are welcome and activities are geared towards K-12.
