Celebrate four years of the Moundville 5K Footrace with us! This year, we will celebrate in person for Native American Heritage Month! Whether you run or walk in Moundville Archaeological Park, the Moundville 5k Footrace is an ideal way to participate. Proceeds will go to the Moundville Education fund. 2021 Native American Festival Has Been Cancelled
Due to lack of participation from school groups and travel restrictions for some Native American participants as a result of COVID-19, the in-person 2021 Moundville Native American Festival has been cancelled. The park and campground will remain open for visitation. We look forward to once again being together in-person in 2022.

Moundville Forensic Science Summer Day Camp
The 2021 Forensic Science Summer Day Camp will be held at Moundville Archeological Park from July 6-9th, 2021. This year’s camp will be a bit shorter, but still packed with the same educational fun!

COVID-19 Policy Update
Only unvaccinated visitors need to wear masks in our buildings at Moundville Archaeological Park. All social distancing requirements remain, which is currently at 3 feet.
Museum Expedition 43
Due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, the Alabama Museum of Natural History will not be offering our normal week-long Museum Expedition program for Summer 2021. They will however be offering a “Mini Expedition” program at Moundville Archaeological Park.
