Due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, the Alabama Museum of Natural History will not be offering our normal week-long Museum Expedition program for Summer 2021.

They will however be offering a “Mini Expedition” program at Moundville Archaeological Park.

Mini Expedition @ Moundville – June 14-15, 28-29 & July 1-2

Join the Alabama Museum of Natural History and the Office of Archaeological Research (OAR) for a mini version of our popular summer camp, the Museum Expedition. This year, Museum Expedition 43 will have three two-day programs throughout June and July. Each program will focus on artifact cleaning and processing with OAR. Lunch each day, a behind-the-scenes tour of OAR, and a Moundville museum tour will round out each two-day workshop. There is the option to camp at the Moundville Campground for an extra fee.
